In this session, participants will get to see and experience In Your Shoes (IYS) dialogue performances. In the IYS methodology created by the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics, participants have deep, open conversations around a topic and then perform one another’s perspectives. During this session, participants will participate in signature IYS exercises before discussing how IYS has been applied in different contexts in the last academic year, including partnerships with the Power of Dialogue immersion experience in Appalachia, GU Qatar's Empowering Women Change-Makers program, Campus Ministry, Core Pathways, as well as individual courses. Participants will then be able to see work from participants who attended the earlier IYS session at TLISI. Lastly, we will share ways for other faculty, staff, and students to get involved with future IYS projects. This session is open to anyone interested in learning more about the IYS experience; participants do not need any prior performance experience or need to attend both sessions to participate!
